I learn the origins of the gods. Thousands of years ago, all mankind were hunter gatherers. Then one day they discovered a forest paradise high in the mountains where the rivers begin.
Here they could settle. The climate was better then. They watched the plants grow, and gathered the seeds: they invented agriculture. With more food their numbers grew. But the tribes were too big to be stable. They had to somehow make thousands of people work together. So they invented religion. The greatest tribal leaders became gods.
Should I ask the wise men about the war between gods and men? Or how gods can live forever and control nature? Or get back to the problem of defeating Gilgamesh? Or do something else?
