Who wrote the dialog for Daredevil 2-4?
(Where Joe Orlando is credited just as "penciller")
Patrick Ford

DAREDEVIL #4, Joe Orlando inked by Vince Colletta.
J David Spurlock feels the dialogue in the Orlando DAREDEVIL stories does not read like it was written by Stan Lee. Certainly this page does not "sound" like Lee's typical voice.
There's an interview (unsourced) with Orlando where Orlando complained about how little in the way of plot he got from Lee.
Mark Evanier has written that Orlando told him Jack Kirby designed the villains (excepting Electro) for the issues Orlando worked on. The Purple Man has all the hallmarks of a Kirby character. The Purple Man would probably be of interest to Darkseid if he showed up in the Fourth World since the character appears to control the Anti-Life equation. Since Daredevil is blind and not deaf I'm not sure why the Purple Man does not simply tell Daredevil to take a long trip to the country.
Patrick Ford: I went and read the story. I read it very quickly so I may have missed something, but it looks like it just so happens Daredevil is not affected by the Purple Man's mind control power. Everyone else is, but not Daredevil. I also discovered that Matt Murdock's law library is badly outdated. Murdock consults his law books and finds there are no laws which make it a criminal offense to order people to break the law. So when the Purple Man orders a crowd of bystanders to attack Daredevil the Purple Man has not broken any law which Murdock could find in his law books.
Patrick Ford: BTW: Panel three of page 21 looks to have been drawn by Wally Wood.
J David Spurlock: Compare the writing style to this Human Torch about a year earlier. One of these things is not like the other. Which sounds like Stan?
