Why would aliens do this? With all their abilities, why would want to help human minds? They explain... and I begin to understand.

In advanced societies, ideas are everything. One good idea can make life better for everyone, forever. Humans might have ideas that might never occur to, say, Martians. So the small cost of enhancing a human is nothing compared to the potential benefits.

Variety is the key to life. This is the same reason we have sexual reproduction instead of merely cloning ourselves.

But where do ideas take us? Are there any limits? Should I explore the question of infinite growth? Or do something else?
