It was getting late in the day, so I wander back to the time machine... BUT IT'S NOT THERE!!

I am hit with blind panic! Eight hundred thousand years from home! And no way to get back! I madly search in the nearby bushes. I'm going mad, when I first dive in I imagine I see some kind of white animal, but when I look closer there's nothing there. I race in a frenzy around the hills, desperately searching! I trip and fall and cut my face! I have to keep running! I have to find it! What could have taken it? The people here don't have the strength! What is hiding here that I don't know about? Where is my machine? WHERE IS IT?

Should I look in the giant sphinx where the people sleep? Or should I try to ask the people? Or should I search outside? Or do something else?
